Investigation Results: EMF Meter and thermal scanner anomolies
were highest on the lower floor. There was a small open room upstairs with strange,
small wooden doors, that the EMF meter went up to 7-8 on 2 different occasions.
We were told these "closets" were used for cleaning storage. Received
some very bright orbs in the hallways, and a couple of orbs coming in/out of the
walls (not dust).
Haunted?: Spirits are still "Living
and working" in this establishment, so the answer is yes.
In
1911, this sprawling acreage was the Multnomah County Poor Farm and Self-Supporting
Farm Operation. Many people traveled through here, as well as staying.
In
the year 1962, it was renamed The Edgefield Manor, and became a nursing home which
closed in 1982. McMenamins purchased it in 1990.
There are many spirits
here; some travelers and some who prefer to stay. The lower floor seemed to be
highest in activity, although the 2nd floor was not far behind. We have yet to
spend the night here, but we plan on it!
